girl who came to America, pursuing her American dream
for 3 years between 2001 to 2004.
After 9/11, her boyfriend Jose (who is an illegal immigrant)
disappears. She starts to face visa and financial problems.
Along the way, she is scared of becoming an illegal
resident, and embarks upon a strange odyssey...by turns
blissful, dangerous and bizarre. The story parallels her
journey to her uncle’s diary, written from 1985 to 1988,
right before his mysterious death...Revealing what
happened between her and her uncle when she was 13.
